الجنة أبدية لا تفنى، وكل ما فيها من بهاء وجلال، ومسراتها تتضاعف. نسأل الله أن يرزقنا الجنة، كما نعوذ به من النار.
قال الله:
"حدائق تعبرها الأنهار، تحمل ثماراً وظلالاً أبدية."
لا يمكن وصف أي شيء ينتهي يوماً ما، حتى بعد وجوده لآلاف السنين، بأنه أبدي.
وقال الله أيضاً:
"هذه هي نعمنا عليكم، لا تنضب وكاملة."
ما هو زائل سينفد في النهاية.
وقال الله أيضاً:
"ما تملكونه زائل، أما الأجر الذي أعده الله لكم فهو أبدي".
يشير الله هنا إلى أن هذه الدنيا وما فيها زائل، بينما ما عنده خالد. ولو كان لهذا الجزاء نهاية، لزال كما زالت ملذات هذه الحياة الدنيا.
قال الله تعالى: "لهم أجر لا يقطع".
