Women acquire their social and political rights thanks to the right to seek knowledge that Islam grants to Muslim women as well. From the dawn of the revelation, the Prophet – prayer and salvation be upon him – declared that it was incumbent on every Muslim, man and woman, to seek science wherever it was. It is therefore no coincidence that there were women who presented their opinions on legal matters of public interest.

A distinctive case sheds light on the woman's knowledge. In one of his sermons. 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab said he wanted the divorced wife to return the dowry to her ex-husband. At that moment, a woman, present at the mosque, replied: "It is not for you to decide" and recited this verse: "If you want to substitute one wife for another, and you have given to one a quintar, take nothing back. What ! Would you take it back through injustice and manifest sin” (S.4,20).

The Caliph acknowledged his mistake publicly saying, “The woman was right and 'Umar was wrong. ".

The book of God therefore recognizes women's unconditional rights in the public and family domain. These rights are as old as Islam itself. They are not the result of a struggle by women for their emancipation but of gifts from God. They have not also undergone, when in their basic principle, transformations imposed by the evolution of time. The religion of God has honored woman and ennobled her as well as man. For example, on the economic level, it has the capacity to acquire property, manage it and bequeath it to whomever it sees fit, sign commercial contracts and incur debt, if it deems it useful.

It follows that perfection and imperfection depend rather on the individual and collective behavior of the human being " He who gives and fears (Allah), declares truthfully al-housnâ (the most beautiful reward). We will facilitate the way for him in greatest happiness. As for the one who is stingy, dispenses (from the worship of Allah) and treats al-housnâ as a lie, We will facilitate the way for him to the greatest difficulty, "(S.92, 5 to 10 ).
