Why do we have to pray?

This is a question that every Muslim should ask themselves. To pray is to meet Allah!

Prayer, according to the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) is the pillar of Islam. It must be accomplished by the Muslim from the age of 7 and becomes obligatory from puberty.

This is why teaching prayer (salât) to your child must be a priority for every parent.

The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of God be upon him) said "Pray as you have seen me prayed" so they will know how to go to the place of the Ka'ba located in Mecca in Saudi Arabia. All Muslims must go facing this holy place during their prayers. They will have important advice to do or not to do.  Example :

§                            do not pray with your eyes closed

§                            look straight ahead

§                            don't laugh or talk

§                            position the toes well by bending them... etc.
