Formerly the exclusive heritage of mages, sorcerers, healers, shamans, haruspices, priests who prepared rituals and incantations for gods, spirits, demons of potions, beverages, drugs both to relieve and heal only to slay and that in an atmosphere impregnated with mysteries.

It is from the 9th century that Pharmacology appears as the Science of drugs used for therapeutic purposes far from magical or religious practices. From the outset, the founders of Pharmacology have endeavored to develop effective, specific medicines with maximum safety, in order to fight against the evils that attack the body and the physique of man.

How many generations of pharmacologists have followed their path with an ambitious goal which, we are currently observing, has borne fruit, given that, through its discoveries, innovations and continual contributions, Pharmacology has actively participated, alongside medicine and the hygiene, a better quality of life and an increase in the average length of life. As such, the Founders of Pharmacology well deserve the honorary title: “To be at the service of Humanity”.

Modern medicine, in today's society, is in bad shape because, alas, it has become a consumer good like the others, and it is beginning to fail in its mission, that which was for the founders of Pharmacology, namely to protect against suffering and disease.
