Islam , Soul of Humanity, by Abdullah Bilal Omowale ( Ex . Andy Thomas)
Abdullah Bilal Omowale (Andy Thomas) is a journalist who was sentenced to death in 1975 for taking sides with a resistance movement during a period of harsh political repression in the island of Trinidad ( Caribbean ) .
He was one of those thousands of young people who went to Islam in search of identity. During the twelve years spent in the death row cell, he devoted his time to studying the history and dynamics of the world of Islam, striving to detach himself from the distortions and prejudices conveyed by the West.
This book is the result of this long reflection, where the author presents an overview of the divine and universal message of Islam. It also recalls the brilliant heritage of Islamic civilization and in particular the often overlooked role played by the Muslims of black Africa.
