Born in 1355 and originally from Majorca, Anselm Turmeda, a member of the Franciscan order, embraced Islam around 1385 and called himself Abdallah at-Tarjuman. He then left his native Spain to settle in Tunis, where he entered the service of Sultan Hafside Abou Al Abbas as a translator. A prolific writer, he left to posterity an autobiography entitled "Gift of the scholar to refute the supporters of La Croix".
Our author, after recounting his life as a Catholic religious and his spiritual journey, exposes point by point the inconsistencies of Catholic doctrine. Demonstrating through the gospels the impossibility of the dogma of the trinity, exposing the testimony present in them of the announcement of the prophet Muhammed.
