The preaching movement known as Tabligh has experienced impressive growth in Europe for several decades. While this movement arouses real curiosity, it is nevertheless little known, both in terms of its origins and history and its thinking. However, it is in its history that we must draw to try to understand what the ideology of the Jamaat Tabligh is, in order to allow everyone to form a more accurate and objective idea of this movement. Returning to the sources gives us the opportunity to understand to which movement the Tablighi Jamaat belongs, for what reasons and in what context it was born, what its method is and in what vision of the Muslim religion it is part. The goal is to go beyond the fantasies that the Tabligh movement has long aroused.
