The French translations of the Koran are surprisingly similar, despite their great diversity.
The Tawbah edition stands out by offering a fundamental approach that is sorely lacking in French-language production. We highlight the holy text of the Quran by providing a solid scientific basis and paying tribute to scholars of Islam, scholars of Arabic language, exegetes, scholars of hadith and jurisconsults. Available exclusively at SANA.

The QURAN and the translation of the meaning of its verses

With more than a hundred French translations of the Koran, it is striking to note their astonishing similarity. They are all decked out in a thousand finery to demonstrate their uniqueness, but when you consider them carefully, what is most surprising is their similarity.

The similarity in question is less literary than methodological. The styles vary from translation to translation, but the real discomfort is that they claim to be the Quran itself. Even though translators often point out the difficulty of translating the Quran, everything from the cover to the last point says otherwise. The introductions and appendices of existing translations often neglect to mention those who have dedicated their lives to the Book of Allah, the enlightening words of scholars of Islam, the solid definitions of scholars of the Arabic language and the foundations of the religion, the dazzling commentaries of exegetes, the clarifications of hadith scholars and the remarks of jurisconsults. Current translations often leave the reader in the dark as to the nature of the sacred text.

Our goal is to fill this gap by offering an approach based on solid foundations. We want to highlight the holy text of the Quran and do it justice. Our intention is to bring the reader closer to the Word of Allah, by providing him with the necessary keys to understand what the Koran really is, without alienating him with arbitrary choices or mimicry.

In short, we offer a translation of the Koran that emphasizes scientific rigor, giving a legitimate place to scholars of Islam, specialists in the Arabic language, exegetes, scholars of hadith and jurisconsults. We wish to offer readers a translation that guides them to a deep and enlightened understanding of the Book of Allah.
