        The problem of ideas

Author: Malek Bennabi - Editions: Héritage

“When incoherence in the world of ideas affects their logical relationships, we must expect all the confusion in minds which, for example in the political order, will not try to distinguish causes and effects. This is how Muslim society posed the problem of colonialism and neglected that of colonizability. »

“In general, when coming into the world, the ideas which have made its history are always effective, since they have raised storms, built or destroyed something, or simply turned a page of human history. They are not necessarily all true. An idea is true or false on a theological, logical, scientific, social level. But its history will not depend on its intrinsic character, it will depend on its dynamism, its power within a cultural universe and finally the economic situation. »
