The lessons of the Hegira according to Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hamad :
The Messenger of Allah (sbdl) saw the suffering of his companions but he was not then able to protect them. He therefore gave them permission to emigrate to Abyssinia, saying: "There is a king there with whom people do not suffer injustice , you could go to him until Allah offers you a issue". This event marked the beginning of emigration; later, it was in Medina that some went to take refuge, then by the Messenger (sbdl).
Verily, Allah has made Muhammad (SWS) the bearer of a message which fills hearts with light and makes reason shine with all the brilliance of common sense. So it is no wonder that intelligent men, virtuous women and children whose original nature was still intact were eager to accept it.
As long as this message circulated secretly, the Quraysh hardly cared about the followers. But when the Messenger of Allah (SWS) proclaimed his message in public, warning men against the worship of statues and demonstrating the stupidity of those who worship them, this move provoked the anger of the associators and pushed them to object to this message. They put the believers to the test by subjecting them to the worst tortures, thus hoping that they would return to the darkness of polytheism and that anyone who would consider embracing the soul and anyone who would consider embracing the religion of truth would be so.
