It is an honor for me to have been able to find the time and ability to put together this pocket guide to Muhammad (peace be upon him), the man who enlightened the hearts of millions of people around the world and their brought faith and submission to the One God; the Lord of the whole Universe and of all beings.

I had a great time writing and composing this pocket guide, during which I learned that a good book takes time and dedication. Historical facts are precious and require taming and an ambitious effort to record them.

The project of making this pocket guide has brought me closer to the life, words and actions of the Prophet Muhammad. I love and admire him. As I learned and understood his teachings and his way of life, I became more and more motivated to present his teachings and words to the whole world, in a simple and reliable way.

Muhammad: the man who spent his life for a noble cause and described himself as the final stone that finished a magnificent construction, which represents all the prophets and messengers of God, sent to humanity, to guide them towards the truth and protect them from error. This process began in the time of Adam, the father of mankind, and continued by a multitude of prophets and messengers (who are recognized by Jews, Christians and Muslims), such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Zechariah, John the Baptist and Jesus (peace be upon them all).

Many readers are surprised to find that Islam has no rituals that relate to Muhammad himself. Even the pilgrimage to the holy mosque in Mecca originated with the Prophet Abraham, as the most illustrious example in history of submission to God. He sacrificed his life and his son for God. The Prophet Abraham was the first to build a construction, such as one finds there today, to glorify "Allah", the only God, the Lord of all the Universe and of all the beings.

After 21 years of hard work and perseverance, Prophet Muhammad purified this building of its idols and paganism. He gave it back its original meaning - a construction dedicated to Allah, the Lord of the whole Universe and of all beings, where those who believe in Him come to worship Him.

Muhammad (as) respected all the authentic prophets and messengers who came before him and made a special place of honor for Jesus, by announcing the good news to believers of the return of Jesus to Earth, before life disappeared. He will fight evil, put an end to all strife and unite all believers in God under his banner. Muhammad (as) asked all Muslims to follow Jesus on his return to Earth and to beware of the false Messiah.

The style of this illustrated pocket guide is simple, to make it easier to read. It is written especially to help the tourist who visits the Muslim world and the tourist places of Islam, and who wants concise information about the Prophet of Islam, from Islamic sources. Muhammad, the man who never claimed to invent a new religion, but presented himself as the Messenger of God.

This pocket guide is divided into chapters of different colors, and with titles and subtitles in bold characters which help reading and facilitate referencing.
