Introduction to the Quran – Dr Muhamma 'Abd Allâh Draz
The Koranic discourse constantly appeals to reason, to common sense, to the most generous human feelings, it is indeed addressed to man, in whatever part of the world he is and whatever origin he belongs to. . It is a universal teaching that seeks to purify morals, clarify and reconcile beliefs, break down racial barriers and national chauvinism, replace the law of the strongest with that of truth and justice.
The author, Sheikh Muhammad 'Adb Allâh Draz, proposes in this work to study the Koranic verb in relation to the ideas buried in its literary form. He divides his book into three parts:
The first focuses on the historical aspect: The life of the Prophet (SwS) before he was charged with his apostolic mission; the conditions for the revelation and transmission of the Koran; the way in which the doctrine of the Koran imposed itself on the world: Is it thanks to its intrinsic qualities, to its power of persuasion which solicits the heart and the reason? Or through the use of arms?
In the second part, essentially analytical, the author exposes the essence of the religious and moral aspects of the Koran.
The third and last part examines the method employed by the Koran to attest to its divine origin.
