Envy was the first sin committed in heaven as on earth. It was indeed envy that was the cause of Satan's damnation and downfall and that drove Cain to kill his brother Abel. Hence its seriousness. Preventing envy begins in childhood and it is a duty that falls primarily on parents to accustom their children to pronouncing the formulas of dhikr in the morning, evening, bedtime, at home, at its entrance and its output, etc. , to watch over their attendance at prayers and to perform ruqya on them. This whole ritual protects and heals them against envy and the evil eye.
Preventing envy also requires an ethical and social education teaching children to be modest, as well as discreet about the benefits they enjoy, to greet their comrades, to show generosity towards them, to share with them the benefit of their abilities, etc.
Preventing envy means planting trust in Allah in the hearts of children and teaching them: to be dynamic, to have a sense of responsibility and not to make envy and the evil eye the scapegoat on which bring down their failures and problems.
To prevent envy is above all to teach children not to envy people and to fight within them this moral defect which confines the individual to a state of permanent dissatisfaction and complaint and which destroys his spiritual and temporal development.
This book by education expert Dr. Abd Allah Muhammad 'Abd Al-Mu'ti is a manual of multidimensional education and preventive and curative therapy against envy. exhibits admirably in a simple but enamelled style many instructive and enriching testimonies of parents and children.
