"O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak righteousness, that Allah may improve your actions and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, he will surely attain great success."
(Surah 33 – Al-Ahzâb, verses 70-71)

This epistle is the first in a series of educational texts that I have prepared based on prophetic hadiths and testimonies from the companions. I have taken care, each time, to indicate their sources and to explain, if necessary, certain words or expressions. After citing the texts, I offer a commentary which highlights the lessons that can be drawn from them.

I have made sure that these explanations and commentaries are accessible to beginners, young Muslims, and those with little Islamic culture. This book may also be useful to students, imams, preachers, and others involved in Islamic education. It is also very suitable for public readings in mosques and other gathering places.

When I started this project, I had several goals in mind. Here are the main ones:

To introduce the reader to prophetic hadiths and testimonies transmitted by the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) dealing with important subjects such as belief, worship, transactions, morality, etc., so that he can put them into practice in daily life.
To enable the reader to learn from the lives of previous prophets and their peoples, based on what our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has taught us about them. Indeed, Allah says in the Qur'an, addressing His Messenger (pbuh):
"Well, tell the stories. Maybe they'll think!"
(Surah 7 – Al-A’râf, verse 176)
"In their stories there is indeed a lesson for people of understanding."
(Surah 12 – Yusuf, verse 111)
"And whatever We relate to you of the stories of the messengers is that you may strengthen your heart. And from them has come to you the truth and an exhortation and a reminder for the believers."
(Surah 11 – Hud, verse 120)
The reader will also discover the experiences and miracles that marked the life of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as well as that of his companions.
To highlight the noble qualities that characterized the prophets and the righteous, such as patience, endurance in the face of trials, the sense of forgiveness, leniency, generosity, bravery, etc. He will also be able to discover the remarkable works that they accomplished in calling people to embrace the religion of Allah, through wisdom and good exhortation, by fighting for His cause and by spending their wealth in His path.
