    What's so special about it?

    author's answer in his introduction:

This book entitled "The Pearls and Coral Collection of Unanimously Authentic Hadiths Reported by Al-Bukhârî and Muslim" is a collection of Hadith that the two Imams: Abu 'Abd-Allah Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn Al-Moghira ibn Bardzeba Al-Bukhârî Al-Go'fi (born in 194 h. and died in 256 h.)

and Abu Al-Hassan Muslim ibn Al-Hagag ibn Muslim Al-Kochairi Al-Naisabouri wrote.

Al-Sayed Mouhammad Al-Halbab, the director of the "Renaissance of Arab Books" publishing house "Ihya' Al-Kotob Al-'Arabeya", recommended his edition.

I quoted the version of Al-Bukhârî closest to that of Muslim which was not an easy task since those who have already reported the unanimously recognized Hadiths were not subjected to this condition. Al-Hafiz ibn Higr, the professor of the science of Hadith, also proclaimed that the agreement which has been mentioned between Al-Bukhârî and Muslim is aimed at the narrators of Hadith and not the style of the text.

Let us cite, by way of example: Imam Al-Nawawi, who explained the authentic Hadiths of Muslims. When he wrote The Forty Hadiths of Nawawî, he started with the Hadith of the intention while mentioning that the two sheikhs agreed without quoting the text of Al-Bukhârî the closest on the stylistic level to that of Muslim. He rather mentioned the first version of Al-Bukhârî even if there is a certain stylistic difference with that of Muslim.

It would therefore be important to quote all the versions of the Hadith of the intention reported by Al-Bukhârî so that the reader can establish a comparison between them and that of Muslim:

    Imam Al-Bukhârî narrated the Hadith

    intention according to seven variants:
    1) 'Umar Ibn Al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
"I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbAsl) say: "Deeds are only valid by intention. To each man, only his intentions will be taken into account. To him who has emigrated for goods land, or in order to find a woman to marry, his emigration will be counted according to the purpose which will have dictated his journey".
    2) 2- Faith
Chapter XI: acts are only valid through intention
According to 'Umar Ibn Al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (pbAsl) said: “Deeds are worth by intention. To him who has emigrated in view of earthly goods, or in order to find a woman to marry, his emigration will be counted according to the purpose which will have dictated his journey.
    3) 49-From postage
Chapter VI: Error and forgetfulness in freeing slaves and divorce.
According to 'Umar Ibn Al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (pbAsl) said: “Deeds are worth by intention. To each man, his intentions will be taken into account. For him who emigrates for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be reckoned to him for Allah and His Messenger. As for the one who will have emigrated in view of earthly goods, or in order to find a woman to marry, his emigration will be counted according to the purpose which will have dictated his journey.

    .../...

It should be noted that Imam Takey El-Dine ibn Al-Salah
classified the collections of hadith most
    genuine as follows:
    1. Collection of Hadiths reported by Muslim and Al-Bukhârî.
    2. Collection of Hadiths reported by Al-Bukhârî.
    3. Collection of Hadiths reported by Muslim.
    4. Authenticity criteria required by Muslim and Al-Bukhârî.
    5. Authenticity criteria required by Al-Bukhârî.
    6. Criteria of authenticity required by Muslim.
    7. Criteria of authenticity demanded by other imams.
When the Ulema deem a hadith unanimously authentic, it means that this hadith has been deemed authentic by Muslim and Al-Bukhârî, the greatest reporters of hadith.

    Who is the author ?

    Muhammad Fuad Abdul Baqi

    a Muslim scholar, (1882 -1968)

Scholarly Muslim scholar, little known to the general public, author of numerous books and thematic compilation of the Koran and the sunnah, and especially the indexes which give readers access to the hadith of the prophet.

    these most famous works:

    • “المعجم المفهرس لالفاظ القران الكريم” (Al Mojam el Mofahras Li Alfaz el Qur'an al Kareem), Thematic Index of the Holy Quran.
    • “Jameea Masaned Saheeh Al-Bukhari”, (Bukhari's Classified Hadith)
    • A translation of “Meftah Konooz el Sunnah”
    • A translation of “Al Mojam el Mufahras” in the vocabulary of Hadith.
and the present work in we present to you the first translation in French:
    • Al-Lu'lu Wal-Marjaan (A collection of ahadith of Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Al-Muslim)

Why did Editions Sana choose this work?

SANA-Paris editions are pleased to present to French-speaking readers this work of great quality, and of immense value, whose title, moreover, gives us a foretaste: "Al-Lou'lou' wa Al -Marjâne", which can be translated as: "Pearls and coral".

    • This book is a collection of hadith [sayings of the Prophet (pbAsl)], in which the author Mouhammad Fu'âd Abdelbâqî had the ingenious idea of compiling the hadîths which are in the two authentic collections of the two imâms Al-Bukhârî and Muslim.

    • This collection of hadith has an inestimable value since it brings together the most authentic words of the Prophet (pbAsl) in the classification that specialists in the science of hadith, in particular Ibnu As-Salâh, have put in place, namely those unanimously authenticated by Al-Bukhârî and Muslim.

    • It should be emphasized, in this regard, that the hadiths quoted in this book are not necessarily the same that can be found in the two Authentics textually. Imam Ibnu Hajar Al-'Asqalânî made it clear that the concordance of Muslim with Al-Bukhârî (Muwâfaqa) is rather a concordance in the conditions of admission of hadîths as authentic, although the terms are sometimes slightly different. .
