Surah Tâ Hâ (Arabic- French- Phonetic) - سورة طه

Surah 20 of the Quran: TÂ HÂ

Taha is a Meccan Surah, its number of verses is 135. According to the order of the compilation of the Quran, it was revealed after Surah Maryam. This Surah begins by affirming the purpose of revelation, then it evokes the story of the prophet Moses (Moussa), to enlighten the people of Quraysh on certain subjects which have proved to be closely linked to the disagreements which opposed the prophet Muhammad (sws) and his compatriots. Then Allah tells the story of Adam, his seduction by Satan, before he repented and again gained God's pleasure. At the end of the Surah God advises his prophet and the faithful to be patient and emphasizes the Salat (prayer) which installs in believers a number of virtues such as patience, moral strength, satisfaction. .

'Abd Allâh (Ibn Mas'ûd) (God be pleased with him) said: "The (suras The) Sons of Israel, The Cave, Mary, Tâ-hâ and The Prophets are among the oldest suras ('itâq ) and the ones I first learned”.

The Hâfidh Ibn Hajar said in the Fath Al-Bârî: “The word 'itâq, plural of 'atîq, means ancient or ancient or what makes the quintessence of all things. Ibn Mas'ûd means by this, it is that these suras are among the first that he learned and that they have the great merit of containing stories as well as news from the prophets and other communities.
