The nigella is a plant known universally for its seeds with therapeutic effects. Despite this, it is still poorly known to the public, because among all its varieties, we do not really know if they all have the same virtues. Unfortunately, they are not all edible, some, including Damascus nigella, are toxic. The variety whose therapeutic virtues make the consensus is nigella sativa.

In short, the present work aims to present in a concise way the different varieties of nigella then the variety called Nigella Sativa on which we will extend by showing the therapeutic properties of its seeds.
