Illnesses falsely attributed to jinns and the evil eye
Written by : 'Abd Ar-Rahim b . ' Atiqi-llâhi Ar-Rifâ'î
Work presented by his éminences : Le shaykh Sâlih b . Sa'd Al-Luhaydân And Shaykh Wahîd 'Abd As-Salâm Bâlî
Translated by : Mohammad Karimi
Nothing works for me; this is surely due to the evil eye. I am the victim of ramblings, I have trouble sleeping, I have nightmares, I feel cramped; these are surely symptoms of witchcraft. I am plagued by obsessive-waswâs- suggestions; it is surely satan who breathes them into my heart. I pass out and have seizures; I must be possessed by a demon.
Yes it is possible for a man to be possessed by a jinn! Yes witchcraft has a real effect! Yes the evil eye is a truth!
But haven't we made these things a scapegoat on which we blame most of our problems? Isn't our real problem a lack of faith and good will?
Aren't the symptoms we present rather symptoms of psychic disorders or psychosomatic illnesses?
By frequenting ruqya practitioners, watching shows and reading books on ruqya , is it not possible that we have integrated into our subconscious the idea that all evil from which we suffer is due to witchcraft, evil eye or possession? Hasn't this psychologically predisposed some of us to seizures and blackouts, not to mention those who fake them to gain certain benefits (compassion, love, resolution of their problems, pressure) ?
With a strong language experience in the field of ruqya and research in psychology, Professor 'Abd Ur-Rahîm Ar-Rifâ'î , took the unprecedented initiative to deal, in this book, with this subject whose need is being felt terribly today. He wanted to advise ruqya and psychotherapy with the aim of bringing the sufferer out of the precipice of disease, darkness, illusion, or the stormy waves of distress and sadness, into the light of health and of security.
