The best thing one can devote oneself and spend one's time to is learning and teaching the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. This, along with good works, leads to success in life here and in the hereafter. Also, all the verses, hadiths and sayings of scholars that speak of the value of knowledge and praise scholars relate to the knowledge of the Quran, the Sunnah and what is reported from the companions and those who follow them.
