The commentary of the Book The Six Foundations, by Sheik and Imam Mohammed Ibn Abd Al-Wahab

In our hands is a valuable epistle and summary of the revivifying Imam, Shaykh Al-Islàm Muhammad ibn `Abd Al-Wahhàb, may Allah have mercy on him, in which he brought together six great foundations which have been clarified abundantly in the Book of Allah, exalted be He, and whose evident proofs have been mentioned, together with their clear argumentative witnesses, in the Book of Allah, exalted be He, and the Sunnah of His Messenger so that they are apparent and without any concealment or confusion. Despite this, most people have wandered about them and deviated from righteousness about them and from the straight path. This Imam, may Allah have mercy on him, certainly advised the community sincerely, by bringing together this epistle comprising six foundations among the foundations of this religion, which have been clarified in the Book and the Sunnah, thus indicating their importance, as well as the greatness of their place and at the same time warning against a sort of deviation into which most people have fallen with regard to these six foundations.

May Allah therefore reward him with the best of rewards, may He grant him great mercy, for the good he has brought to the community.

This, and it is Allah the Generous that I ask to make this effort beneficial and that He makes it sincere for His Face and in accordance with the Sunnah of His Prophet, He is, exalted be He, the best of those of whom we ask, it is He Who is most worthy that we have hope in Him and He is our guarantor, and what an excellent protector.
