The highest priority need of the nation in these times is for its members to align themselves under its banner so that each of them has an active role in its building and then forms a strong element of it which will be characterized by piety. Thus and little by little, the construction will rise while being reinforced and seeing its bases being consolidated.

It is through the characteristics of this generation and its original constants that the attention of Islam towards the interior reform of individuals has developed. For the reform of the soul constitutes the fundamental basis of his reform and of the reform of his community. It is the cornerstone of his righteousness and his happiness in this world and in the hereafter.

The eminent scholar Ibn Bâdîs رحمه الله said: “The reform of the soul leads to the reform of the individual, and the reform of the individual leads to that of the whole community.

إنَّ أشدَّ ما تكون إليه حاجة الأُمَّة اليوم هو انضواءُ أفرادِها تح ت لوائها بحيث يمثِّل كلُّ فردٍ منهم لَبِنَةً قويَّةً صالحةً، تشيِّ دُ بناءَ الأُمَّةِ، وترسِّخُ دعائِمَهُ، وتُعلي صَرْحَهُ؛ أفساد أفرادِها، ومَنَاطُ صلاحِ الأُمَّةِ ب صلاح أبنائها

الأصيلةِ، تَبَلْوَرَتْ ع نايةُ الإسلامُ بالعنصر النفسيِّ للفردِ؛ لأنَّ الإصلاحَ النفسيَّ للفرد هو القاعدةُ الأساسيةُ لصلاحه وصلاح ِ أُمَّتِهِ، وهو الدِّعامةُ الأولى لاستقامته وسعادِته في الدارين

رحمه الله-: «فصلاحُ النَّفْسِ هو صلاح ُ الفَرْدِ، وصلاحُ الفردِ هو صلاحُ المجموعِ، والعنايةُ الشرعيَّةُ متوجِّهةٌ كُلُّهَا إلى إصلاحِ النفوسِ؛ إِمَّا مباشرةً وإمَّا بواسطةٍ، فما مِنْ شَيْءٍ مِمَّا شَرعَهُ الل هُ تعالى لعبادِه من الحقِّ والخيرِ والعدلِ والإحسانِ، إلاَّ وهو را وما من شيءٍ نهى اللهُ تعالى عنه من الباطلِ والش َّرِّ والظُّلْمِ والسُّوءِ، إلاَّ وهو عائدٌ عليها بالفساد؛ فتكميل النَّفْسِ الإنسانيَّةِ هو أعظمُ المقصودِ من إنزالِ الكتبِ وإرسالِ الرُّسلِ، وشرع الشَّرَائِعِ
