This epistle concerns a part of the biography of our Prophet Muḥammad (saws): Its author Abū al-Fidā Ad-Dimashqī wrote it about his birth and his breastfeeding. The Birth of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم And His Breastfeeding, by Al-Hafiz ibn kathir ad-Dimashqi
Allah, Mighty and Exalted be He, has certainly honored this great community by sending to them the best of His creatures, our Prophet Muḥammad, صلى الله عليه وسلم, to whom He revealed the best of His Books, in which He, exalted be- He said: "Indeed, you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent model [to follow], for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and calls upon Allah frequently." [Al-Aḥzāb: 21]
It is therefore essential to study his biography, صلى الله عليه وسلم, from his birth to his death, in order to be able to take him as a model, since it is a source of guidance for people, who learn from it monotheism, the ethics, good behavior, respect for the deposit and patience.
This epistle concerns part of his biography: Its author, Imam Abū al-Fidā 'Imād Ad-Din Ismā'īl ibn 'Umar ibn Kathīr al-Qurashī Ad-Dimashqī (d. 774 H.), may Allah have mercy, wrote to him about her birth and breastfeeding. In it, he reports stories from biographical works, and aḥādīth concerning this subject. He says, may Allah have mercy on him, on page 8 of this epistle: “This is the mention of part of the aḥādīth and āthar concerning the birth of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, which are reported and accepted by the huffāẓ known for their excellence and the Imams known for their judgments. We present this work to the French-speaking reader, hoping that Allah will make it profitable.
