About the author: Abû-l-Qâsim ibn Juzay (1294-1340)
Illustrious Maliki scholar of al-Andalus, khatîb of the great mosque of Granada, Abû-l-Qâsim ibn Juzay left us a fabulous heritage in all disciplines of Islamic sciences, from fiqh to tafsir , to the Arabic language, to hadîth or adab . Equally involved in the fight against the Reconquista, he was martyred at the Battle of Tarifa.
