This book is an extension of our dictionary " Useful words for everyday life" ( Éditions du Dauphin) .

Its objective is to allow everyone, whatever their level of linguistic knowledge, to access the modern Arabic terminology conveyed by the contemporary world and in particular the means of audiovisual information.

The interest of such a work is that it faithfully follows the increasingly rapid evolution of the arsenal of words and expressions in the two languages. Far from being exhaustive, it will be regularly enriched in future editions.

The phonetic transcription of Arabic terms into Latin characters makes it accessible to a greater number of French speakers. As for the pure alphabetical order adopted for Arabic, it aims to save the user from having to make the effort to find the words - as in most traditional dictionaries - from their roots. , an approach which implies a significant preliminary grammatical and syntactic knowledge .
