The status of women has varied greatly in ancient societies and civilizations, but never have their status and conditions improved as quickly as at the beginning of Islam. In this book, the author deals with the place of women in the family and in Muslim society. This reveals two environments (private and public) in which Islam wanted the development of women, with all dignity and honor. Islam therefore recognizes women's unconditional rights in the public and family domain. These rights are as old as Islam itself. They are not the result of a struggle by women for their emancipation, but of the gifts of God. Islam has always advocated the equality of men and women. Today, the rights of women in Muslim societies vary from one country to another, but remain less than what Islam grants them.
