Synopsis
A long time ago, in distant countries and empires, a series of letters were sent to the most powerful men in the world at the time. These were no ordinary letters: they came from the last Messenger of Allah (pbuh), and the message they contained was valid until the end of time.
It was the year 7 AH (628 AD): the dawn of a new era for the early Muslims, with a promise of peace on the horizon. The time had come: the Prophet (pbuh) decided to invite the whole world to his message.
Messengers were chosen to visit the rich palaces of the Roman Empire, travel up the Nile by boat to great Alexandria, venture to a mysterious kingdom in Africa, and approach the extravagant fortresses of mighty Persia.
The task of the men chosen to convey this message was monumental. The reactions of the sovereigns to the letters were extremely diverse, but they all carry very valuable lessons. The preparation, transmission, and responses to these letters teach us much about faith, power, and the human condition. The letters of the Prophet (pbuh) contain timeless truths that are just as important and relevant in our times as they were when they were written.
