Practical Guide for the Management of Deceased Muslims in France and Belgium, by Driss Abied, Al-Hadîth Éditions
When a death occurs, a number of formalities and procedures must be carried out. THIS GUIDE WILL HELP YOU DO THEM. Depending on whether you live in France or Belgium, the procedures are different.
The idea for this guide germinated in me about fifteen years ago when I was brought by the profession I practiced to rub shoulders with Muslim families affected by the death of a loved one. Each time the same observation came back, nobody (or almost) knew the steps to take in this situation charged with emotion and sadness.
There is a growing number of burials of Muslims in their place of residence, which reflects a desire to root Muslim families in this country which is, for many of them the only one they know.
Also, this work is also a call to the competent authorities to make available to our community more Muslim squares in the cemeteries of this country, which are sorely lacking in many regions.
Finally, this little guide which simply retraces the formalities to be completed when you have just lost a loved one, will accompany you to undertake a certain number of official, essential and compulsory administrative procedures.
