Far from superficial debates and truncated representations, this study starts from an objective observation: several million Muslims live in Europe, they are now Europeans. For Muslims, taking note of this reality means facing many responsibilities and, in particular, answering a series of questions. Who are they ? How do they view Europe? How do they define their appearance: to the umma alone or to such a country on the continent? What do they want: simple “integration” or original citizen participation?
