In Windows 2000 and XP, you can write in Arabic in MS Office and most other applications by installing Arabic language support. Installing Arabic in Windows 2000: To install Arabic language support in Windows 2000, go to the Windows Control Panel and choose Regional Options, check "Arabic" in the list of languages (in the first tab displayed) . Then go to the keyboards tab and install the Arabic keyboard in order to be able to write in Arabic (choose from the Keyboard list “Arabic 102 keys Azerty” or “Arabic 102 Azerty”). Installation of Arabic under Windows XP / Vista: Under XP go to the control panel, then to "Regional and linguistic options" and there you just have to check "Install files for complex script languages written from right to left" as shown in the figure opposite. Press OK, the Arabic fonts and the Arabic display and writing system will be installed… After restarting your computer, return to this window, click on Details, then on the ADD button you will find “ Arabic” from the list, choose “Arabic (Saudi Arabia)”. From this moment, you will see appearing at the bottom right of your screen the choice between writing in French or in Arabic. And you will be able to read and write Office documents in Arabic.
