UNION MAKES FAITH, by Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'dî

Unity among Muslims is both a religious obligation and one of the most important goals of Islam. If unity creates strength, it also contributes to faith. Dissension and division only lead to weakness and tension for Muslims, whether at the level of individuals, the community or the society in which Muslims live. It is when they are united that Muslims become an active and positive force which contributes to the well-being of all and to living together.

'Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'di (1307 - 1376 AH/1888-9-1955-6 AD) was an eminent theologian from the city of al-Qasim. He quickly distinguished himself by his intelligence, his critical spirit and his ability to popularize Islamic sciences, in particular exegesis, jurisprudence and their foundations. This made him one of the most prolific Muslim authors and theologians of the twentieth century, of which Sheikh Muhammad Ibn 'Uthaymîn was one of the most eminent students.
