Dr al-Qaradawi here tells us, that starting from the principle that life in society must necessarily be subject to rules, he shows the superiority of faith over abstract morality and over human law, as a regulator of human behavior. Then he analyzes the moral qualities that faith gives birth to and develops in the believer: generosity and sacrifice, moral strength, compassion... Thus, far from being a factor of passivity as the materialists accuse it of, faith is, on the contrary, a driving force that energizes the life of the individual and of society as a whole. Faith, the necessary preliminary to any rebirth, is the key that opens the locks of life.
