Noor and Naïm in search of the Mont d'Or, by Hayate Haïfi (Volume 1)
One summer morning, Noor and Naim, 16-year-old orphan twins living in the Gaza Strip, decide to visit an elderly aunt. The latter lives in a city located on the Egyptian border known for its tunnels allowing all kinds of goods to be transported illegally. Driven by their curiosity, Noor and Naïm rush underground, unaware of the danger. Trapped by a landslide, they are dragged out of their temporary prison a few hours later by strangely dressed men. They quickly notice that they don't know where they are. Lost in a world that is totally unknown to them and out of time, Noor and Naïm will first meet Hamza, a prince who has gone in search of his sister, but also his father who disappeared recently. Convinced of the link that exists between these two disappearances and of the involvement of his uncle Rajeb, who harbors a deep obsession for the king's throne, Hamza will not hesitate to persuade Noor and Naïm to accompany him and help him throughout his journey.
Here will begin an extraordinary adventure in which magic, enigmas and fantastic creatures will mingle. They will meet funny and endearing characters like Mr. Isaac Benhaddou who will save them more than once, or even Professor Salmane, an old scholar who will put them on the trail of Mont d'Or, a mysterious mountain which shelters a monster, jailer of a glass prison, from which no one can escape.
Many dangers will await them, and the task will be more than perilous. Can they help the prince find his family? Will they succeed in extricating themselves from the clutches of this Machiavellian uncle and his black army? Will they find a way to get home...
