Title: Commentary on the Forty Hadiths
Author: Ibn Daqiq El 'Aïd and Ibn Uthaymin
Edition: UNIVERSAL
Medium: Book
Theme: The HADITH
Description: This book is a commentary on the Forty Hadiths collected and selected by Imam Muhyiddine Abû Zakaria An-Nawawî (631-676 H). Imâm An-Nawawî only lived forty-five years, he only began to write only from 660 of the Hegira, but left behind him a veritable treasure trove of works in several disciplines: jurisprudence, science of Hadith, commentary on Hadith, science of the Koran, language, etc... The Forty Hadiths , the subject of this study, represent neither the first nor the last attempt by Muslim scholars to collect and assemble in a booklet forty prophetic Hadiths, meticulously chosen. Many Muslim scholars have tried it, as the author himself says in the introduction to the Forty Hadiths. But there is not one that managed to arouse as much interest, both among scholars and among ordinary Muslims, as the Forty Hadiths of Imam An-Nawawî. It has been translated into several languages and no less than fifty commentaries have been made to highlight its hidden pearls, its treasures of wisdom and legal and moral rules.
