Commentary on the 40 hadiths of Imam An-Nawawi

Undoubtedly, this book by Imam An-Nawawî is one of the books that have spread widely and enjoyed great popularity in the Muslim world. This book contains forty-two Hadiths, Imam AnNawawî brought together the important points of the religion touching both the fundamental principles -al-usûl- and the practical applications -al-furû'-, he said about his booklet: "Every Hadith it contains is a fundamental rule of the religion, some scholars have described these Hadiths as being the hub of Islam, some have said that they represent half of the religion, others a third of the religion, as well as other qualifiers of this kind”. It is truly a blessed book, for which Allah has decreed popularity and expansion.

Thus the great scholar, the shaykh Muhammad Ibn Sâlih Al'Uthaymîn crowned this work with an exegesis which is inspired by ancient commentaries and which is in keeping with the spirit of our time. After each Hadith, he gives a simple and easy explanation, then he quotes the main lessons, which makes the exegesis precious and very beneficial despite its brevity.
