The most widespread sayings ( hadîths ) of the Prophet of Islam are those to which the jurisconsults ( Fuqâha ) have granted great importance because of their ritual and worship significance necessary in the life and daily practice of the believer.
But the Messenger of God did not leave only the hadiths of ritual or profane significance, far from it. He also bequeathed to Muslims in particular, and to humanity in general, maxims and wise words of high spiritual, moral and ethical order and which are no less important for drawing the main lines and the great principles of the life of a man.
The author chose among these hadiths taken from various collections and classified them into themes: faith in God, His love, His closeness, the believer's intimacy with God, His mercy, the meaning of life, the place of man in the order of creation, serenity and tranquility of the soul, that of repentance, humility, justice, integrity, equality between men, that of recognition and respect for others, tolerance, charity, self-sacrifice, benevolence towards creatures, generosity, nobility of character and other noble human virtues .
