The Pope Mohammed ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) gave, in his relations with non-Muslims, the best example to follow in this matter. He did not miss an opportunity to invite them, to urge them to adhere to his message which came to close the cycle of prophecy. He was gentle and kind. He advocated peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims , recognized their rights, protected them, guaranteeing them freedom of conscience and worship, and financially helping the poorest among them to protect them from want.
