According to Imam Al-Bokhari, the Messenger of Allah -may salvation and peace be upon him- said, "The best treatments for diseases that you can use are cupping glasses and Indian incense". Indeed, cupping therapy has been recommended to us many times by our noble Prophet Muhammad.

In this book, we have devoted a part to the religious side which includes the prophetic directives and the jurisprudential rules relating to this therapy. A second part deals with the anatomical regions on which it is advisable to scarify to treat each disease. This therapy, which is nevertheless very effective, whose results are sometimes rapid and spectacular and without side effects, has been unfairly abandoned in favor of conventional medicine.

Today, fortunately, this therapy is beginning to come under proper scrutiny, all over the world. We have cited the results of work carried out by a Syrian team of leading specialists and health professionals. They applied the cups to three hundred patients and the collected blood was subjected to microscopic, chemical and other examinations. As the reader himself will see, the results are impressive. We have emphasized the precautions to be taken by both the practitioner and the patient and the rules of hygiene that must be observed. We hope that this therapy will be adopted on a large scale by health professionals, that internships will be carried out in this field and that it will be regulated, in order to close the door to intruders who lack knowledge and experience in this domain.
