"Al-'Arf An-Nashir Fi Sharh wa Adillah Fiqh Matn Ibn 'Ashir," Section on Belief and Sufism
Written by Al-Mukhtar bin Al-Arabi Moumin Al-Jazaïri and later by Al-Shanqiti
Review by Sheikh Al-Alim Mohammad Omar Hawiya, Director of the Center for Quranic Studies at the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran.
I have read the entire book, including its three sections: the section on belief, the section on jurisprudence, and the section on Sufism. I found its explanation excellent, supported by evidence from the Quran, the Sunnah, the sayings of the companions and successors, as well as clear and authentic statements from renowned imams such as Malik, Ash-Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Abu Hanifa, among other enlightened guides. The author was recognized for his reliability in transmission and documentation, effectively refuting deviant beliefs through scientific arguments.
As for the section on jurisprudential rules, its explanation stands out for the quality of style, clarity of formulation, conciseness of rules, and adaptation to the reader's understanding. Furthermore, the author succeeded in explaining the section on Sufism by tracing its history, origins, and evolution from its inception to the present day. He offers a valid critique while quoting the words of well-established scholars among people of knowledge.
