This book by Dr. Mahmoud Mustafa Afash compiles the efforts of the scholars of 'ilm Dabth Al Mushaf (Science of the study of the Holy Quran vocalization, calligraphy,..), a task that was undertaken from the first century until the fourteenth century of the Hegira. This study examines these efforts analytically and critically. It includes two aspects: first, an introduction and definition of the author, and second, a detailed exploration of his work, his questions and his debates. This allows the reader to become familiar with these aspects, combining theory and application, particularly as the subject of revising the Holy Quran Manuscript has been largely neglected and forgotten, with most writings on the subject having been lost, especially early works. Therefore, the recovery of these books and their study are of great value, because they reflect the ideas and opinions of their authors as well as the approach of the study towards them.
