It is an interesting book which mentions the Quranic readings of the four imams, namely Al-Hassan Al-Basri, Ibn Muḥaysin Al-Makki, Sulayman Al-A'mash Al-Kufi and Yahya Al-Yazidi Al-Basri. The author presents the particular recitations of these imams, which distinguish them from the ten reciters whose recitations are more common. It also explains the characteristics of their recitations in terms of Arabic language and grammar, but these recitations are considered atypical and should not be used for official recitation of the Quran.

Author: Abdelfattah Ibn Abdelghani Al-Qadi - Editions: Dar Al Gwthani
Quranic recitations have evolved over the centuries and emerged from famous recitations performed by imams and particular reciters. There are ten main recitations known as "The Ten Readings" which are widely accepted throughout the Islamic world. However, there are also atypical or infrequent recitations that are associated with certain imams and reciters.
This book in Arabic Al-Qira'at Al-Shadha wa Tawjihuha min Lughat Al-Arabi (Atypical Recitations and Their Orientation in the Arabic Language), written by Abdelfattah Ibn Abdelghani Al-Qadi, is an informative work in which the author discusses the recitations of four particular imams: Al-Hassan Al-Basri, Ibn Muḥaysin Al-Makki, Sulayman Al-A'mash Al-Kufi and Yahya Al-Yazidi Al-Basri. The author highlights the specificities of their recitations compared to the more common recitations of the Ten Readings, while emphasizing that these atypical recitations should not be used for the official recitation of the Quran.
