"This poem "Aqilat 'Itrab Al-Qasaid Fi Isna Al-Maqasid" by Imam Al-Shatibi is one of the most famous poems in the field of the science of Quranic calligraphy. The author of this book has carefully examined the original text of this poem from several manuscripts, and then explained it concisely in this work. This explanation aims to clarify the terms and bring together the meanings, following a clear approach and simple expression. Moreover , the author corroborated his explanations based on the book "Al-Muqna' Fi Ma'rifat Mursam Musahif Ahl Al-Amsar" by Abu Amr Al-Dani, which is the original work from which this poetry is taken. He also used the book of the latter's student, Abu Dawood Sulaiman ibn Najah, entitled "Mukhtasar Al-Tabyin Fi Hajaa Al-Tanzil", as well as other relevant sources on Quranic calligraphy. The book begins with an introduction that sets out the topics covered in the poetry and its characteristics, to help readers understand the author's intention. Overall, this explanation is a summary of the work of scholars of calligraphy and a synthesis of the teachings of commentators on this poetry."
