Jibril, peace be upon him, descended with the great Quran upon the Prophet of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, after he received it from the Lord of Glory, the Exalted. So, the Prophet used to recite it to him exactly as he received it, and the Prophet conveyed what he received to the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and they recited it exactly as it was revealed, then the readers among the Muslims transmitted the Quran and fixed it, so they used to recite it exactly as they received it from their elders. However, over the course of time, some people refused to read the Holy Quran with melodies, so in defense of the Quran and its readers, the author saw that it was necessary to gather in this book the opinions of the scholars on the topic of reading the Quran with melodies, so he mentioned the texts of the scholars on the ruling of reading with melodies, so that the Muslim may be aware of his matter and follow what has been established in his religion.
