Islamic Classification of Prehistory (Volume 3), by Nas E. Boutammina, Anthropology of Islam Collection

It is essential to have a global historical vision of the world, a general knowledge of the disciplines and the themes used to argue theories, an impartial judgment, a study of all the historical supports and above all, the point fundamental, to revise all the historical, prehistoric, archaeo-paleontological dogmas inculcated on the benches of Schools, Universities, Faculties and Institutes.

The adventurous ambition of Prehistory, Archaeology, Anthropology and Paleontology is to defy time and space and worse, by retracing the journey of Life, they place themselves as witnesses to Creation. They create, like God, the unfolding of Life! Erected on fragile foundations and wandering in the wrong direction, these various disciplines [Prehistory, Archaeology, Anthropology, Paleontology, History, etc.] stagger due to the intoxication of their sufficiency or their ignorance. “Prehistoric” material remains [bone debris, pottery, tools, etc.] remain the only elements of study accepted by history specialists [Prehistorians, Archaeologists, etc.]. These vestiges subscribe to the fertile imagination of the latter to invent the origin of Man, to reconstitute his way of life and his metamorphosis in his environment.

Making "absolute" reconstructions of human characteristics on such ancient remains in order to practice comparisons with current simian species is a matter of the imagination. This embarrassment is at the origin of debates on the mechanisms of Evolution which is based on the interpretation of the fossils preserved in the Burgess Shale. Archeology is proclaimed the science of debris and is then written as quickly as the debris is brought to light.

Consequently, another classification of Prehistory defines Man as a whole according to a very different picture. A chronology of major archaeological periods and subdivisions reveals, on the one hand, a geographical distribution area, and on the other hand, characterizes the genesis of Man [his social, economic and cultural development] is meticulously described in this work.

To animalize Man in order to remove from him any notion of responsibility is to mislead Humanity. What could be more sneaky than to make believe that Man is an animal descended from a Pongidae [great ape] and that his presence on Earth is an accident!

It is time to reflect and inculcate disciplines in accordance with human reason, to confront ideas on scientific bases, to allow Man to understand his History and above all to escape from a one-script monolithism of the sciences of currently in force.
