This book presents Islam from the point of view of a convert to Islam who became a Muslim theologian and preacher in the West. It is for everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims. At the same time accessible, complete and yet concise, it exposes the foundations of Islam by addressing the sources of the Islamic religion, its pillars and worship practices, its faith, its spirituality.
There are many books that present Islam, but few do so from the point of view of a convert to Islam who has become a Muslim theologian and preacher in the West. The speech of the author, Jamaal Zarabozo , is all the more relevant and audible as he knows Western civilization and mentality perfectly, and has studied Islam in depth and without a priori.
Jamaal al-Dîn M. Zarabozo was born in 1960 in France to Catholic parents of Hispanic origin. He grew up in California in the United States where he converted to Islam in 1976. He holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of California in the city of Davis. He teaches Islam and the Arabic language in the Muslim Community Association in San Fransisco Bay and at the al-Nur Islamic Center Mosque in Sacramento . Jamaal Zarabozo is theologian, lecturer and author and translator of numerous works which have been translated into several languages.
