“Dinet was not a simple Muslim, he was a Muslim above many other Muslims. He cheated neither with God nor with men. He was a Muslim because he respected others. had embraced Islam after study, investigation and search for conclusive evidence. His Islam, he had not inherited it from his fathers. Finally, he was a Muslim who had risen above the differences between doctrinal schools (madhahib) and religious brotherhoods (turuq) through which it was sought to undo the strong bond of Islam.
