What part of the gaze is permitted and what part is prohibited?
This is the central question that this small jurisprudential study attempts to answer. Depending on the different situations and the people in whose presence they find themselves, the Muslim man and woman are required to control their gaze. There are indeed people that we can look at, to a certain extent, and others that we cannot without real necessity. Looking at each of these two categories has its own rules and clearly defined limits in Islam.
