Yasmin Mogahed earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in journalism and communications from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After graduating, she taught Islamic sciences and worked as a youth coordinator. She also worked as a writing professor at Cardinal Stritch University and was a columnist for the Islam section of InFocus News. Yasmin Mogahed teaches at AlMaghrib Institut and is a freelancer for the Huffington Post. She is also an international speaker and author, and her writing focuses on spiritual and personal development.
