Title: The Heirs of the Prophets
    Author: Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali
    Editions: Al-Hadîth
    Collection: Heritage Treasures

Knowledge occupies a prominent place in Islam. Allah only revealed His Books and sent His Prophets so that man would know his Creator, how to approach Him and worship Him exclusively, and why he exists on earth. Knowledge, a source of honor and prestige, is a light that guides the servant in his journey towards his Lord and constitutes one of the main accesses to Paradise.
The illustrious Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalî reveals to us in this epistle the secrets and treasures concealed in the most detailed prophetic word concerning the merit of knowledge and scholars:
“He who follows a path in search of knowledge, Allah will open to him thanks to this an access to Paradise. Certainly, the Angels extend their wings by satisfactions with regard to the one who seeks knowledge.
Those in heaven and on earth seek forgiveness for the learned, even the fish in the water. The merit of the scientist over the devotee is like the merit of the moon, on the night when it is full, over all the stars. The scholars are certainly the heirs of the Prophets. Pr, they left neither dinar nor dirham in inheritance, they left no other inheritance than knowledge. Whoever appropriates it will have acquired a huge share."

    SUMMARY :

    • "Whoever follows a path in search of knowledge Allah facilitates through this access to Paradise"
    • The journeys of the Ancients in search of knowledge
    • Knowledge is doomed to disappear
    • The three categories of scholars
    • The best scholars
    • The knowledge that no one is supposed to ignore
    • The science of the licit and the illicit
