satan opened several fronts of hostility against the descendants of Adam in order to be able to attack them from all sides. It is indeed a deep and constant enmity. This is why man has no other solution than to prepare himself well.
We hope that through this book, the believer will better understand his enemy and his tricks to better protect himself and fight them.
satan opened several fronts of hostility against the descendants of Adam in order to be able to attack them from all sides. It is indeed a deep and constant enmity. This is why man has no other solution than to prepare himself well to implement the means available to save his soul. Allah has repeatedly warned us against this declared enemy and his schemes. The stratagems of satan and his hostility however have no effect on the sincere servants who take refuge with Allah, surround themselves with the rampart of conformity to the orders of Allah and the distance from His prohibitions, thus walking on the prophetic way and relying on Allah the Most High. Faced with this imminent danger and this enemy on the lookout, any man in search of his salvation is required to know enough information about it in order to take the necessary precautions and provisions to protect his soul.
Some people of knowledge even regard this knowledge as obligatory. This book by Ibn Al-Qayyim, very complete and redesigned to be practical for the reader, has two themes. The first deals with the matter of the heart as the ground around which satan revolves to achieve his goals. There is the question of the health of hearts, their sickness and their death. The second theme deals with the concrete manipulations by which satan attacks the servant on the path that leads him to Paradise.
We hope that through this book, the believer will better understand his enemy and his tricks to better protect himself and fight them. Allah has indeed revealed this: [Satan threatens you with poverty and enjoins you to commit turpitude while Allah promises you His forgiveness and grace].
