Today, the Quran is learned and taught in all four corners of the world. Given the importance of the study of the Quran, it was important to me to research the "Prophetic Methodology" in learning and teaching the Quran, to find out if our way of studying the Quran today ' today was well in agreement with that which was used at the time of our beloved Prophet (saw).
LEARNING AND TEACHING THE QURAN like the Prophet (saw), by Karim Galouze, Living the Quran
Today, by the grace of Allah, the Quran is learned and taught in all four corners of the world. It is an incalculable number of Muslims, children, adults, men and women who sit in front of their teacher to study the Book of Allah.
Given the importance of the study of the Quran, from its revelation until today, it was important to me to research the "prophetic methodology" in learning and teaching the Quran, to whether our way of studying the Quran today was in agreement with that which was used at the time of our beloved Prophet (saw).
The purpose of this research is to start from my personal experience, which I think is representative, to establish an initial observation of what we live today, then to analyze, through religious texts ( Koran and Sunna) , what was the study of the Koran at the time of the Prophet (saw) and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in order to then be able to make a comparison. Once this comparison is established, we will be able to know if our current Learning and teaching of the Quran is indeed in accordance with the prophetic tradition ( saws ) with regard to the study of the Quran .
Word from the editor
Studying the Quran is one of the best worships. And like all worship, it must respect two conditions: purity of intention and conformity with the prophetic tradition. We pray like the Prophet (saw), we fast like him, we perform pilgrimage like him… but do we learn the Quran like him?
In this book, the author makes a retrospection of his course of student and teacher of the Koran and puts it in relation with the current situation of the study of the last divine Book. Then, relying on the verses and the hadiths, it presents a methodology that comes as close as possible to the prophetic methodology in terms of learning the Koran. Finally, he makes a comparison in order to highlight the points of convergence and divergence between what is done today and what was done at the time of the Prophet (saw) and the companions (may Allah be pleased with them ). Although his story relates a set of questions, observations and challenges, he also offers various solutions.
This book leads to reform, encourages a different reading of the Koran, a sincere and deep reading based on its understanding, meditation and practice. His words, filled with wisdom, tenderness and humility, encourage the reader to change his relationship with the Quran. A new beginning is offered to you, are you ready to hear it?
